SEN Teaching Assistant
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Full-time, long-term position until the end of the academic year
Pay rate: £82.51-£95 per day.
Location: North Monmouthshire

Teaching Personnel are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join a well-established secondary school in North Monmouthshire as a Learning Support Assistant.
This role involves working within an SEN base, supporting pupils aged 11–16, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will be supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), so personal or professional experience working with SEN pupils will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils aged 11–16 with their learning and development
* Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and preparing learning activities
* Providing tailored support, including occasional 1:1 assistance
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Supporting pupils to achieve their full potential academically and socially
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with SEN/ALN pupils (personal or professional)
* Understand how children learn and develop effectively
* Be patient, caring, positive, and supportive
* Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS clearance and on the update service.
* EWC registration.
* Ability to provide two professional references
* Available to interview within the next two weeks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
