REED Technology are working with a client who are seeking a Project Manager to join their Digital & Technology team and lead a flagship transformation initiative: the Timetabling Optimisation Project. This project is central to improving the users experience and operational efficiency by transitioning from an on-premises timetabling system to a modern TechnologyOne SaaS platform. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering a suite of modules that enhance scheduling, resource booking, and assessment scheduling -directly impacting users satisfaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Timetabling Optimisation Project through all lifecycle stages, ensuring successful delivery of SaaS modules including Publish, Resource Booker, and Assessment Scheduling.
Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track progress and manage risks.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders across business and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers (TechnologyOne) to manage integrations, resolve technical challenges, and maintain delivery cadence.
Ensure compliance with the organisations policies, procurement standards, and digital frameworks.
Provide regular updates to governance boards, ensuring transparency on milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
Champion Agile and best-practice project management methodologies to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex digital or SaaS implementation projects.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project governance.
Ability to interpret technical terminology and work closely with IT teams on integrations and system migrations.
Experience managing third-party vendors and suppliers.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
Demonstrated expertise in managing and optimising timetabling workflows, including scheduling, resource allocation, and conflict resolution, is a critical requirement for success in this position.
Familiarity with ERP platforms such as TechnologyOne or SAP would be advantageous.
Familiarity with higher education environments or timetabling systems is desirable but not essential.
