Registered Manager – Children’s EBD Home (2–3 Bed Service)

Salary: £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
About the Service
We are establishing a high-quality 2–3 bed residential service for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment that supports each young person’s emotional, social, and educational development.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an Ofsted-registered children’s home in a managerial position.
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
*
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
*
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams.
*
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support strategies.
*
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Key Responsibilities
*
Act as the Registered Manager with Ofsted, ensuring full regulatory compliance at all times.
*
Lead the home in delivering high-quality, child-centred care aligned with individual care plans and statutory guidance.
*
Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted’s “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
*
Manage all aspects of the home’s operations, budgeting, and administration.
*
Maintain effective relationships with placing authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
*
Implement and review policies and procedures to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
*
Take overall responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*
Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and monitoring of incidents, care plans, and outcomes.
*
Foster a positive, nurturing culture where both staff and young people can thrive.
*
Develop and implement strategies for service growth and improvement in line with the organisation’s values.
