Cover Manager and School Administrator
Millthorpe School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as Cover Manager and School Administrator. The role involves planning and organising cover schedules for absent teachers, utilising internal and external supply staff as appropriate. It also includes a range of administrative and reception duties as required.
Key attributes: highly organised, self‑motivated, solution‑focused, and able to use initiative. The ideal candidate will be approachable, have strong IT skills, and experience managing and maintaining accurate records.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, flexible and able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including students, parents/families, staff and external agencies. Experience in an administrative role and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Experience interacting face‑to‑face with adults and/or children is an advantage. A genuine passion for working in a child‑centred environment and putting pupils’ needs first is more important than previous school experience.
Work will start at 6:45 am each day to allow time for making cover arrangements.
