PNDC is one of the University of Strathclyde’s flagship industry‑facing centres, created to bridge the gap between concept and deployment and to accelerate the transition to Net Zero. We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of PNDC. As CTO, you will set and lead our technical vision, shape and own our technology roadmaps, and provide the most senior oversight of the design, delivery and analysis of our programmes and capital investments. You will work hand‑in‑hand with our partners to ensure that innovations tested at PNDC are ready for real‑world deployment and deliver meaningful impact.
The successful candidate will be a visionary and hands‑on technical leader, with deep expertise in power networks and a passion for translating innovation into practical outcomes. You will act as the global face of PNDC’s technical capability, building trusted international relationships, influencing industry direction, and representing our work on the world stage. You will also play a critical role in developing our people, nurturing talent, and strengthening the capabilities that will underpin our future growth.
