Are you organised, customer-focused, and interested in supporting recruitment within the NHS? We are looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Recruitment Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help deliver a high‑quality recruitment service, supporting teams to recruit the people they need to provide excellent patient care.
About the role
You will support the full recruitment process and act as a key point of contact for managers, applicants and colleagues. Your role will include:
* Responding to recruitment enquiries and providing clear, helpful information
* Supporting the recruitment process from advertisement through to appointment
* Completing pre‑employment checks (e.g. right to work, references and DBS)
* Preparing recruitment documents such as offer letters and contracts
* Keeping accurate records and updating recruitment systems
* Working closely with managers and candidates to ensure a smooth, timely process
This is a busy and varied role, where organisation, attention to detail and a positive approach are essential.
Qualifications
* Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities
* A clear communicator with a collaborative approach
* Passionate about delivering a high standard of customer service
* Comfortable working with IT systems and handling confidential information
* A team player who builds positive working relationships
Minimum qualifications
* Good standard of English Language GCSE (or equivalent qualification)
* NVQ Level 3 in Administration or Customer Services, or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Working knowledge of recruitment procedures would be an advantage
* Experience of working in a busy, customer‑focused office environment
* A high level of attention to detail
