Job Title: SC Cleared Network Engineer
Job Description
As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leveraging project materials such as LLD and Connectivity Matrix to produce patching schedules for data centre sites. You will prepare and configure network devices according to LLD, ensuring successful deployment and verification. Additionally, you will develop Method and Communication plans for work conducted under change control, post-build stage. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring a clear understanding of requirements through discussions with design teams, technical resources, and customers. You will execute change control processes with adherence to operational protocols and collaborate with project managers to prioritise, schedule, execute, and report on work progress.
Responsibilities
* Produce patching schedule for data centre sites using LLD and Connectivity Matrix.
* Prepare and configure network devices as per LLD and deploy, ensuring verification.
* Develop Method and Communication plans for change control work.
* Understand requirements through discussions with design teams, technical resources, and customers.
* Execute change control with adherence to operational processes and controls.
* Collaborate with project manager to prioritise, schedule, execute, and report work progress.
* Support installation of network devices into racks/cabinets, install base image, and connect to OoBM systems.
* Advise field engineers on patching schedule implementation and connection testing.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in F5, MPLS, routing protocols, Nexus, Cisco, and Firewall technologies.
* Ability to prepare configuration of network devices and deploy them as per LLD.
* Experience in producing patching schedules for data centre sites.
* Capability to execute change control processes and adhere to operational protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* SC clearance is required for this role. (Held by MOD, MOJ, Home office, Desnz)

Job Type & Location
Hybrid (Farnborough, Coventry) some weeks may be completely remote, and some weeks may be a couple days in a datacenter. On-site requirement will not be needed every week
