Applications are invited for the part-time post of Senior Teaching Fellow BM5 BM5 Primary Care (PC) Clinical Practice (CP) 1 and 2 deputy Module Lead, to join the Medical Education Unit in the Faculty of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and delivery of PC teaching and learning experience for students on the BM5 programme on the new revalidated curriculum which is launching September 2025.
As the post holder, you will also contribute to help the development and delivery of the PC subject teaching across the Batchelor of Medicine programmes and will help students meet the General Medical Council’s learning outcomes relating to PC as in “Outcomes for Graduates 2018”. You will work with a range of staff with different backgrounds and promote the shared vision for PC. You will be responsible for recruitment, placement, teaching and training GP teachers to support the delivery of PC in the BM5 cohort of CP 1 module and use the second session to deputise both CP1 and 2. You will enable students to develop skills and competencies needed for building a solid foundation in the early years, as students’ progress to consulting patients safely and enhance the student learning experience.
We are looking to recruit a GP to this role who is currently working in Primary Care.
Sessions: 2 per week, Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon
