The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work for an established, growing business in the Blackpool area. Maintenance Engineer salary: 38k - 40k per annum (Negotiable depending on experience) Working hours: 8:00am - 16:30pm Monday - Friday Maintenance Engineer Roles and responsibilities: Carry out maintenance work on production machinery, mechanical systems, and utilities. Recognise breakdowns and carry out repairs promptly to reduce downtime. Manage tool room operations, including the issuance, repair, storage, and tracking of tools, jigs, and fixtures. Operate machine tools (e.g., lathe, milling machine, surface grinder) to support repairs and fabrication needs. Ensure calibration of tools and measuring instruments is up to date. Keep maintenance and your workspace organized, using spreadsheets and maintenance management system software. Assist in machine installation, setup, and modification projects. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment. Required Skills / Qualifications: 3 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with both general maintenance tasks and tool room equipment. Ability to read technical drawings and work under own initiative Strong problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a small team and willing to pitch in across departments when needed.
