Description Principal Teacher Hermitage Park Primary School Salary: £55,155 per year (pro rata for part-time) Hours: 35 per week Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Our school is currently made up of 10 classes from P1 to P7 with a self contained nursery providing 30 full time, term time placements for 3 and 4 year olds. Hermitage Park is now seeking a Principal Teacher who will maintain overall responsibility for the modernisation, development and delivery of Support for Learning (0.67FTE). The role will oversee the allocation of resources and deployment of support staff to match support to needs and maximise learning opportunities across the school. The successful candidate will work extensively with staff, external agencies, learners and their families to bring about positive change and model best practice. The Support for Learning role is fast paced, responsive to need and requires a dynamic individual who can encompass the five roles of the Support for Learning teacher. An ability to translate plans in to action, produce a high level of paperwork and meet key deadlines are essential parts of the role. Alongside this, the Principal Teacher will exemplify excellent learning and teaching and maintain a class commitment (0.33FTE) with another member of the teaching staff team
