Senior Support Worker – iBC Healthcare
We are looking for a caring, compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our Residential service. You will support individuals with complex needs and contribute to their well‑being and independence.
Role Details
* Job Title: Senior Support Worker
* Pay: £12.65 per hour
* Shift type: Days
* Hours: 36 hours per week (full time)
Duties
* Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Perform basic daily duties such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork/audits.
* Provide emotional and practical support for the people you support and the team.
* Assist the people in our care to access community facilities and participate in community groups.
* Build robust relationships with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower the people we care for to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
* Accurately record and maintain necessary documentation in line with care plans.
* Complete and support audits and medication rounds.
* Assist the Team Leader with the daily running of the shift.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* A full UK manual driving licence is desirable.
* An NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
* Ability to multi‑task.
* Good time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* Positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* Passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
