Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer
This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our QSSHE team, reporting to our Senior Projects QSHE Engineer, supporting our operations in the Southern North Sea (SNS).
This position is responsible for providing advice, support, coaching, and monitoring to ensure quality assurance and control processes are effectively implemented to prevent financial and HSE risks during project activities, operational changes, and third-party services.
This is a permanent staff position, working Monday to Friday, based in Norwich.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Develop and maintain quality strategies and systems supporting Perenco's Onshore and Offshore SNS operations.
2. Facilitate continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental protection, and loss prevention.
3. Ensure compliance with QSSHE regulatory requirements and best practices.
4. Maintain a register of applicable codes and standards for daily operations and projects.
5. Support project teams and other groups to ensure quality risks are assessed, identified, and managed, including activities like development and auditing of Quality Plans, liaising with clients, assessing vendors, and attending FAT/SAT.
6. Provide coaching to ensure compliance with the Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS).
7. Review and approve contractors' quality documentation and conduct audits per procurement processes.
8. Develop and implement audit programs for third-party contractors and service providers.
9. Work with Contracts to ensure contractual QA/QC provisions, review quality plans, and inspection/test plans.
10. Support the Management Assurance (Audit) Program, including developing scopes and training auditors.
11. Ensure a comprehensive management system covering quality, safety, security, health, and environment is in place and maintained.
12. Lead and support the SNS organization on quality issues and day-to-day QSSHE activities.
13. Support the wider PUK and Perenco Group in enhancing QSSHE standards, processes, and systems.
14. Assist SNS QSSHE team in compliance with ISO standards such as ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001.
Key Requirements Include:
1. Degree qualification in Science or Engineering (minimum HNC).
2. Qualified Auditor to ISO 9001:2000 or CQI registered.
3. Proven auditing experience and ability to train auditors.
4. Full knowledge of ISO 9000, API, and industry standards.
5. 10+ years oil and gas QA/QC experience or 5+ years relevant process industry experience.
6. At least 5 years working within UK oil and gas regulatory frameworks.
7. Strong people management and communication skills.
8. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
