Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a flair for organising events and raising funds for a good cause? YMCA Taunton is looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Fundraisers to join our team!
As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to help young people and families in Taunton. You will have the opportunity to organise a variety of fundraising events, both on and off our premises.
We encourage creativity and innovation, allowing you to make full use of our excellent facilities for a wide range of events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise, and execute fundraising events.
* Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure successful events.
* Engage with the local community to promote and participate in fundraising activities.
* Manage event logistics, including venue setup, ticket sales, and volunteer coordination.
* Track and report on fundraising progress and outcomes.
* Quiz Nights: Host a fun and competitive quiz night at our facility.
* Sporting Events: Organise a charity football match, fun run, or sports day.
* Cake Sales: Bake and sell delicious treats to the local community.
* Table Top Sales: Set up a sales in our Sports Hall.
* Themed Dinners: Arrange themed dinners.
* Silent Auctions: Gather donations and host a silent auction.
* Talent Shows: Showcase local talent.
* Sponsored Challenges: Participate in sponsored activities like bike rides or hikes.
* Movie Nights: Host a family-friendly movie night with snacks and refreshments.
* Raffles: Hold a raffle with exciting prizes.
* Bingo: organise a family friendly bingo session.
