Job Introduction
Shelter Cymru, in partnership with and funded by Flintshire County Council (FCC), provides an independent homelessness and housing advice service. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Welsh Government funding enabled local authorities across Wales to ensure that no one had to sleep rough, leading to up to 900 people being accommodated in temporary housing.
The purpose of the independent adviser post is to deliver direct casework to clients referred by the Council, and to offer advice and guidance to the housing options team and other relevant officers, aiming to improve applicant satisfaction and sustainable housing outcomes in Flintshire.
