Job Opportunity: Male/Female Support Worker (Aged 25–45)
Casual Role – Immediate Start – On-Call Availability Required
We are currently seeking a support worker, male or female, aged 25–45, to assist a client with complex needs in both home and community settings. This position requires a disciplined and compassionate individual with experience in personal care and social support. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in martial arts, military, or similar fields, where strong boundary-setting and routine implementation are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personal care and social support tailored to individual needs
2. Promote client choice and autonomy through meaningful routines and activities
3. Be available for last-minute shifts and able to respond to urgent needs
4. Support clients in enhancing life skills and community participation
5. Monitor and report changes in client health or care requirements
6. Maintain clear and professional communication (email, calls, text)
7. Ensure client confidentiality, dignity, and safety at all times
About You:
1. Experience working with children with complex needs
2. Demonstrated ability to set firm boundaries and maintain routines
3. Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support (desirable)
4. Valid Full Driver’s Licence, reliable insured vehicle, and smartphone
5. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
6. Proficient in using technology (e.g., email, apps, smartphones)
7. Flexible and reliable, with availability for on-call shifts
8. This is a casual position – shifts are offered based on client needs
9. Initial meetings with the client will determine ongoing shift opportunities
