Job Summary
The (Junior) Quality Control Technician must be motivated and detail-oriented, responsible for testing current and finished products to ensure compliance with laws and standards. Testing occurs across pre-production, shipment receipt, and customer feedback stages. Collaboration with the NPD team and other departments is essential to resolve quality issues.
Role Outline & Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain inspection reports.
* Perform product inspections at various stages of the product lifecycle.
* Conduct inspections and audits based on customer feedback or internal assessments.
* Prepare and maintain test data for management review.
* Evaluate data, draft reports, and note deviations from standards.
* Report quality or compliance concerns promptly.
* Initiate and track product sample testing.
* Assist in maintaining the product archive for each brand.
* Inspect received shipments for market readiness.
* Assist with daily/weekly tasks as needed.
* Maintain records of post-sale hair claims and identify patterns of concern.
Daily / Weekly / Ongoing Responsibilities
Daily:
* Update the Quality Control Log and communicate with team members.
* Follow up with vendors on ongoing projects.
* Provide updates and approvals on products and shipments.
* Process PPS submissions.
* Report feedback on approval/rejection statuses.
* Handle inquiries requiring QC attention and communicate findings.
* Assist with inbound inspections and highlight rejections.
* Manage post-sale complaint data and coordinate with Customer Service.
Ongoing:
* Maintain communication with NPD on active projects.
* Initiate inspections based on customer feedback or internal needs.
* Record findings, deliver reports, and ensure compliance with laws and standards.
Key Skills
* Excellent vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
* Understanding of current products and market.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Comfort working in a warehouse environment with physical labor.
* Ability to analyze and interpret information.
* Professional judgment and discretion.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of NetSuite, WOS, and Microsoft Office.
