Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Secondary School in Ashford. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s learning and development within a classroom setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in the classroom, individually and in small groups
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Help manage behaviour and encourage student engagement
Provide additional support to students with SEN or additional learning needs
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
A positive, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
