The Opportunity
A leading engineering organisation within the defence sector is seeking a hands‑on EMC t to support the validation and certification of advanced systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-integrity products, ensuring they perform reliably in challenging electromagnetic environments. You ll play a key role across the full test lifecycle from early-stage development through to qualification and certification.
What You ll Be Doing
* Plan, design and execute system-level test activities
* Develop test setups, including instrumentation and data capture methods
* Prepare and support trials, ensuring readiness across hardware, software and facilities
* Coordinate test activities, including logistics and equipment availability
* Carry out hands‑on testing in specialist environments (e.g. EMC chambers)
* Capture, analyse and interpret test data
* Produce clear technical reports and documentation
* Support product certification activities
* Collaborate with engineering teams and test facilities
What We re Looking For
* Experience in EMC, RF testing or electronic systems validation
* A hands‑on approach with a passion for practical engineering and testing
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to plan, execute and document technical work methodically
* Confident communicator, able to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with EMC or military standards (e.g. MIL-STD, Def‑Stan)
* Background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics or similar
* Experience working with environmental or compliance testing facilities
