Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Care Support Worker to join our team at HMP Stafford, a Category C men’s prison located in Stafford.
Hours – Part‑time: 2 × 11.5 hrs per week (7:30 am – 8 pm) – 23 hrs contract.
Full‑time – 3 × 11.5 hrs per week (7:30 am – 8 pm) – 34.5‑hrs contract.
Salary – Annual up to £26,500 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery of social care within a secure environment; implement clinical social care packages.
* Assist patients with activities of daily living, respecting individual needs, dignity and privacy.
* Deliver healthcare work under supervision of a qualified nurse, organise own workload and assist patients in all activities of daily living, applying appropriate knowledge in accordance with care plans.

Qualifications Required
* NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good IT skills and IT literacy.
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (preferred).
