As a Classroom Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a calm, focused learning environment, supporting behaviour management, and promoting a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence.
Ensure students complete work set by the teacher.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Provide support to students where appropriate.
Report back to teaching staff on student progress and conduct.
Ideal Candidates Will:
Have experience working with young people in a school or similar setting (preferred but not essential).
Be confident, calm, and assertive in managing groups.
Be flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about education.
Be available to work in secondary schools across the Heywood area.
Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
