About The Role
Do you have a compassionate approach to working with people? Are you committed to understanding people's needs and using evidence-based practice to help people flourish? We are looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Senior / Clinical Specialist to join us in supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities. You will be a key part of the multi-disciplinary team within services and also a member of our Therapeutic Services team, which includes Applied Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.
This role is based in Copperclay Mews, Easingwold, with travel to other Hesley Group services required for team meetings and service needs.
This is a part-time, temporary role covering maternity leave for 10 months.
About You
We are looking to recruit individuals who:
* Are enthusiastic about engaging autistic individuals and people with intellectual disabilities in planning their futures
* Have extensive experience working with autistic individuals and those with intellectual disabilities
* Have experience in collaborative approaches to managing behaviours of concern and reducing restrictive practices
* Hold an MSc in PBS/ABA or equivalent, with a thorough understanding of PBS principles and applications
* Have extensive experience in conducting behavioural and skills assessments, implementing interventions, and applying PBS in multidisciplinary team settings
* Have experience coaching, training, and supporting staff
* Have experience providing supervision and supporting service development
Applications from individuals with less extensive experience will be considered for the 'Senior' role rather than the Clinical 'Specialist' role.
