Job Title: Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Portsmouth, NH 03801 (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $28/hour on W2
Shift Timing:
* Currently, the client’s suite maintenance team works 12-hour shifts, with a 3- & 4-day pattern.
* Shift A works Sunday, Monday & Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
* Shift B works Thursday, Friday & Saturday and every other Wednesday.
* Initially, workers will work M-F 8-4:30 pm for the first 90 days before transitioning to regular shifts.
Job Description:
The Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic Level III supports the Engineering Services group by operating and performing daily checks on maintenance equipment/systems, and assisting higher-level mechanics with repairs, following SOPs. The individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented team environment, performing routine and advanced diagnostics with minimal guidance. Records of work performed will be maintained to comply with GMP requirements, including detailed documentation in electronic and written formats.
Responsibilities:
* Understand and apply core SOPs, performing all work safely following GMP guidelines.
* Execute preventive maintenance practices for manufacturing equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and systems.
* Maintain maintenance areas to audit-ready standards.
* Keep current with training related to the job.
* Manage elastomer program activities, including package creation, spares requisition, LOTO, and work execution.
* Use CMMS to document maintenance activities.
* Follow policies on spare parts transactions.
* Apply quality systems such as DMS and Trackwise.
* Participate in safety training and use tools safely as per guidelines.
* Read and interpret equipment schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
* Collaborate with Reliability & Engineering on projects and repairs, assisting with root cause investigations as SME.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Achieve proficiency as per the skills matrix, with specific scores in trade and equipment skills.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* HS Diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to use hand tools.
* Ability to read complex mechanical drawings.
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to understand and apply SOPs continually.
* Knowledge of shop math, reading, and writing skills.
* Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge.
