Overview
Kepak Group, one of Europe\'s leading food producers, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Ancillary Operative at our Bodmin site. This role is in the food production industry, contributing to the company\'s heritage of meat craft, trusted quality, and excellent service.
Work hours: start at 06:30 and finish when production ends, Monday to Friday. Salary starts at £12.44 and increases with competency-based assessments.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment necessary for the production process.
* Monitor and maintain product quality standards throughout the production line.
* Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
* Conduct regular inspections of machinery and promptly report any issues or malfunctions.
* Assist in the packaging and labeling of finished products according to company standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold the highest level of hygiene and quality.
* Be able to lift weights and move around the factory floor without assistance for the shift duration.
* Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the line, complete checks and ensure materials are ready to use.
* Other duties as assigned by the direct line Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience in a similar role within the food production industry is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
* Understanding of and commitment to following health and safety regulations.
* Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
* Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team; adaptable to change and production demands.
