About Cutwood Joinery
Cutwood Joinery is a trusted all-trades building services company based in Kilmarnock,
Ayrshire. We deliver high-quality domestic renovations and major projects including house
extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions, garden rooms, kitchen installations and
bathroom remodelling. We also operate a commercial contracts and reactive maintenance
division, working on projects such as social housing refits and local authority renovation
works.
Due to ongoing growth & expansion, we are looking for experienced, multi-skilled joiners who
take pride in quality workmanship and can work confidently across varied sites and scopes.
Role Overview
You will work across domestic and commercial sites throughout Ayrshire and Glasgow,
delivering both planned joinery packages and reactive works. You will report to the Senior
Project Manager and be expected to work professionally in occupied properties as well as
construction environments.
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
* Overtime shifts available
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out high-quality 1st and 2nd fix joinery across domestic and commercial
projects
* Work from architect drawings and job specifications for planned works
* Assist with and complete joinery elements on extensions, conversions, kitchens,
bathrooms and refurbishments
* Maintain strong site standards: tidy work areas, protection of finishes, and
client/tenant professionalism
* Follow company and site Health & Safety procedures, including commercial site
requirements
* Document daily progress using our project management app, including:
o photos of work completed
o task updates
o basic reporting of issues/snags and materials required
* Coordinate with other trades and site management to keep work flowing smoothly
Essential Requirements
* 5–10+ years proven joinery experience across multiple areas of construction
* CSCS card
• SVQ Level 6 (as specified)
* Full UK driving licence
* Fit and capable of physical site work
* Confident working solo and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and pride in finish quality
* Able to communicate clearly with clients, tenants, and the project team
* Reliable, punctual, and able to demonstrate initiative
Desirable (Nice to Have)
* Experience working within social housing / local authority environments
* Strong understanding of site processes in commercial settings
* Additional H&S tickets (e.g., working at height, asbestos awareness)
