An exciting opportunity has arisen to join HaltonHaven Hospice as one of our Fundraising Managers, leading our fundraising teamto achieve ambitious targets through a diverse portfolio of income streams.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who candevelop and grow our income streams, including running successful events andcampaigns, building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and workingclosely with our community supporters and organisations. You will jointly manage our fundraising teamand support them to deliver targets, provide excellent stewardship and raiseawareness of our work in the local community.
Demonstrable experience of event management andworking with budgets and financial targets is essential, as is the ability toconfidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Previous experience ofleading a team and managing volunteers would be desirable but not essential,however you must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, enthusiastic,and friendly.
We offer a hybrid working arrangement with your mainplace of work at our main hospice site in Murdishaw, Runcorn, with theexpectation that you are able to travel to attend events and meetings acrossHalton.

Advise andprovide support to community fundraisers (volunteers, community groups,businesses and members of the public) on registration procedures,fundraising regulations and best practice.
Lead on the planning and co-ordination ofdesignated fundraising events and activities, to maximiseparticipation/attendance and funds raised.Delivering within budget both for expenditure and targetfundraising.
Liaise with all relevant colleagues to ensurethat events and campaigns are promoted throughout the community. To include providing content andgathering stories for web pages, social media and other communications aswell as online resources for those interested in fundraising for theHospice.
To manage event support staff and contractorsin the delivery of events
Ensure that donations and sponsorship moniesare received after an event or activity.
To research,identify and develop new fundraising opportunities and relationshipsincluding the dissemination of marketing materials and placement of collectionboxes.
To promoteHalton Haven Hospice by organising and/or delivering talks to localcommunity groups, schools and nurseries, businesses and otherorganisations. Arranging Hospicevisits and attendance at third party events as appropriate.
To provide anexcellent level of stewardship for all Halton Haven Hospicesupporters. In so doing grow andutilise the Hospices database of supporters in order to maximise regulargiving and long term support.
Record andprocess donations, correspondence and permissions on the database inaccordance with the requirements of GDPR.Acknowledge support and arrange cheque presentations; liaising withother departments as appropriate.
Participatein any team working activity and ensure effective communication. To include the dissemination of informationaccurately and in a timely manner to support effective team working, ensuringconsistent development for the fundraising and events function of the Hospice.
The postholder will be expected to manage their own workload, work under their owninitiative and provide feedback producing reports and event evaluationsboth verbally and in writing as required.
To maintainknowledge of current fundraising practices and procedures and of relevantlegislation affecting fundraising activities within the charitable sector.
Regularly attend team and other meetings as appropriate,contributing positively to discussions and debates and participating inshared decision making.
To act at alltimes in accordance with the policies and procedures of Halton HavenHospice in a positive way that promotes Halton Haven Hospices reputation. In the event of possible conflict ofinterest full disclosure must be made to the Director of Income Generation.
Act at all times as an ambassador for the organisation andmaintain positive and effective communication both internally andexternally in representing the service offered by the hospice.
To undertakeany other duties which may reasonably fall within the role of the postwhich will include attending events in the evening and at weekends.

Person Specification
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years proven experience in fundraising.
* Demonstrable experience of planning and managing fundraising events.
* Track records of achieving financial targets.
* Experience of working with budgets and monitoring income and expenditure.
* Experience of leading a team.
* Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers.
* Experience of working within a hospice or healthcare environment.
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

* Full and clean UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Willing to work some unsociable hours at evenings and weekends.
