FLT Counterbalance Driver / Machine Operative
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative with a valid Counterbalance Licence to join our well-established client based in Manchester (M12).
You will be working on a sensitive production line which involves regulating the feed of raw material and learning when the machine needs more / less feed to maximise production.
You will also be operating a bagging machine, sealing, putting bags on pallets, and cooperating a Counterbalance Truck to move stock around.
Working Times:
Monday - Friday: 07:45-1700
Rates of Pay:
£13.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties:
Your duties as a Machine Operative/Counterbalance Driver willinclude (but not be limited to):
Operating a Counterbalance Truck safely and efficiently to move stock around the factory
Setting up and running machines to ensure optimum efficiency
Identifying and resolving faults during set-up in line with order requirements
Completing paperwork and inputting data accurately into the system
Performing checks against instructions to ensure product quality and conformity
Carrying out regular quality inspections and correcting any issues immediately
Ensuring adequate stock of raw materials to maintain productivity
Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times
Reporting defective machine parts promptly
Essential skills:
To be successful as a a Machine Operative/Counterbalance Driver you will need:
Previous machine operation and machinery skills
Must have a VALID FLT Counterbalance Licence
Quality control expertise
Proficiency in using hand tools
Strong communication skills
The ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in a manufacturing environment
A committed attitude to continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean production
Training:
Full training will be provided on site, with continued development opportunities
