We're looking for a Senior Mains Renewal Engineer to join our Anglian Water team based in the East Anglia region.
Location: Can be based in Norwich, Suffolk, or Essex areas.
Hours: 45 hours per week. Some flexibility on hours is available; just let us know when you speak to us.
In this role, you will work on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance. The team maintains water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts, and develops new ways to better service customers.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Mains Renewal Engineer, you'll be working within the Capital Main Laying team, committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions to critical infrastructure projects.
You will oversee a team of engineers in the construction and delivery of main laying schemes, focusing on trenchless and no-dig techniques, including insitu structural liners. You will champion innovative solutions to reduce scope of works, maximize benefits, and ensure safety, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
The designs will deliver cost and benefit efficiencies and support the achievement of AMP8 main laying & efficiency targets, adding value to the supply and network asset base.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Managing and developing the team.
2. Facilitating information transfer between teams and engaging key stakeholders to develop and promote schemes through IMR governance.
3. Conducting site investigations to promote optimal design solutions for various schemes.
What are we looking for?
This role is suitable if you have:
* A Degree, BTEC Higher Technical qualification, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities.
* SMSTS qualification & NRSWA supervisor training (training can be provided).
* Significant experience in water engineering or similar infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of water distribution systems.
* Understanding of the regulatory framework and commercial awareness.
* Experience with water supply and network operations.
* Ability to view infrastructure strategically, tactically, and operationally.
* Skills to balance solution requirements with service delivery capabilities.
* A full driving license.
