We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our A66 NTP Widening team based in Penrith. In this role you'll play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximise value and maintain quality and safety on a range of contracts. We're looking for someone who can blend analytical skills with relationship building to deliver commercial excellence.
Location: Penrith, Cumbria - travel to the office required with some remote working available
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working independently to procure and manage subcontractors and working closely with the project teams to ensure commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Day To Day Will Include
Procuring and managing subcontractors to ensure best value while maintaining quality standards
Producing valuations, monitoring budgets and preparing comprehensive commercial reports
Assessing commercial risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
Supporting the preparation and submission of project variations
Maximising cash flow through proper measurement and valuation of work
What are we looking for?
This Role Of Quantity Surveyor Is Ideal If You
Hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying and bring strong commercial acumen
Have proven experience in a similar role within Construction or Highways, ideally with a Tier 1 Main Contractor
Are confident working with the NEC suite of contracts
Communicate clearly and enjoy building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders
Are highly organised with excellent time management skills
