Lead CNC Programmer
£19.00 per hour + benefits
We’re looking for a time-served CNC Engineer with proven skills in both turning and milling to join our busy, well-equipped workshop in a lead programming role. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied, interesting work and wants to take the next step in their career.
What you’ll do:
Lead the setting, operating, and programming of CNC lathes and mills (Hurco & Siemens).
Produce precision components to tight tolerances from technical drawings.
Carry out first-off inspections and ensure quality is maintained throughout production.
Support and guide other team members on CNC processes.
Use offline programming knowledge where possible (ideal but not essential).
What we’re looking for:
Fully time-served with strong CNC turning & milling skills.
Confident with tooling, speeds, and feeds.
An eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Leadership potential and a willingness to take ownership of programming work.
