Freelance Interpreters Wanted – Justice Sector (Northern Ireland)
Dals is a language service provider working with public and private sector clients across the UK, such as NHS, local councils, and international corporations. We assist non-English speakers access essential services, like medical care, by providing interpreters in over 512 languages and dialects.
Due to increased demand, we are seeking bilingual/multilingual individuals to join our Face-to-Face freelance interpreting team.

As a freelance interpreter, you can set your own hours and work as much or as little as you like. Our dedicated team provides support and guidance, values your feedback, and strives to deliver excellent service.
Basic Requirements:
* One or more of the following qualifications:
* Open College Network Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting
* Open College Network Level 4 Certificate in Community Interpreting
* Diploma in Public Service Interpreting Level 6
Valid Right to Work document without restrictions.
Fluency in English and a second language. A telephone language assessment will be conducted.
At least 100 hours interpreting experience, whether professional, from friends and family, or voluntary work.
Valid security clearance (Enhanced DBS preferred, which can be applied for through us).
Interpreters should ideally hold NPPV2 and/or CTC security clearances or be willing to undergo vetting to obtain them.
What will you be doing?
Attending appointments in person to support clients and their non-English speaking service users.
Preferred but not essential qualifications include:
* Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
* Community Interpreting Level 3 or above
* Degree in interpreting (Language to English)
* BA in Translation or Interpreting
* BA in Languages, Linguistics, or related disciplines
