Job Title: History Teacher
A forward-thinking secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a dynamic Humanities department from September on a temp-to-perm basis (12 weeks).
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3–5, bring historical topics to life, and contribute to a school that values inclusion, high standards, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3–KS5
* Foster a love of learning and historical enquiry
* Monitor and support pupil progress with effective feedback and assessment strategies
* Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment opportunities
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider school initiatives
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
* Experience in a secondary school setting is desirable
* Early Career Teachers (ECTs) encouraged to apply
