We are looking for a dedicated Medical Administrator to join our friendly and professional team at Buxton Medical Practice. As a Medical Administrator you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by maintaining accurate patient data, managing appointments, assisting with quality reporting, and providing reception support.

What Your Typical Day Looks Like
* Input and maintain accurate patient data in the practice medical system
* Produce and verify reports, searches, and patient letters to ensure data accuracy
* Manage and support computer systems, perform backups, troubleshoot, and help colleagues with IT queries
* Assist with appointment management and workflow using Docman (or future replacement systems)
* Support QoF reporting through accurate data entry, searches, and returns
* Provide occasional reception cover, handling patient enquiries and appointments as part of a shared rota
* Help maintain an efficient, confidential, welcoming practice environment
To Be a Successful Medical Administrator, You’ll Need
* Previous experience in an administrative or IT-based role, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting
* Excellent computer literacy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage data accurately and confidentially
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a busy, multi‑disciplinary team
* A proactive approach to problem‑solving and confidence in managing your own workload
* Flexibility to support colleagues and cover reception or secretarial duties as required
