The Opportunity We are looking for a confident and technically capable Legionella Water Risk Assessor to join our respected consultancy team. You’ll play a key role in delivering best-in-class assessments, documentation, and advisory services to our clients—helping them manage risk from Legionella, Pseudomonas, and other waterborne pathogens. You’ll work closely with senior scientists and consultants across major healthcare and public sector portfolios, contributing to our reputation as the gold standard in independent water safety advice. What You Will Do Conduct detailed Risk Assessment Surveys for Legionella, Pseudomonas, and other waterborne pathogens Develop Water Safety Plans, Policies, and Management & Procedural Documentation Design and implement Pre-Planned Maintenance Programme Schedules Provide impartial and expert guidance on Water Treatment Regimes Deliver Design Verification, Installation Compliance, and Handover Management for new builds and refurbishments Manage complex, bespoke projects with precision and client focus Essential What you will bring: Minimum 2 years of experience as a water risk assessor Suitable qualifications in water hygiene, microbiology, environmental science, or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Full UK driving licence Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check Desirable Degree in a relevant scientific or environmental discipline Experience working within healthcare environments Strong project management skills and familiarity with compliance frameworks What You’ll Get In Return Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Company car and fuel/travel expenses Comprehensive benefits package Ongoing investment in training and professional development Opportunities to contribute to nationally significant consultancy work Supportive, science-led team environment within a respected and independent practice
