To provide in conjunction with colleagues Imaging services for the Trust. To support Education and Training across the Trust.
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Consultant Radiologist to work within the Directorate of Radiology.
Due to the expansion of services, we currently have vacancies for Consultant Radiologists to join our friendly and forward looking team.
Job description is Royal College approved.
Main duties of the job
1. Share with consultant colleagues the radiology workload, across plain film, ultrasound, CT/MRI & breast imaging. Contribute to all emergency, cancer faster diagnostic pathways, urgent, routine and screening services provided in a timely manner.
2. Provide with the other Consultants a system of mutual out-of-hours cover and cover for annual, study and professional leave.
3. Give a consultation and advisory service to medical colleagues in other specialities in the Trust.
4. Liaise with medical staff in other specialities and participate in the regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities of the hospital.

About us
The James Paget University Hospital Radiology department performs over 70,000 X rays, 50,000 CT and MRI scans and over 30,000 ultrasound scans a year.
The department is composed of over 140 Radiologists, Radiographers, Nurses, Imaging Assistants, Healthcare Assistants, Administration and Radiology IT staff.
We have a commitment to teaching Specialist Registrars from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, medical students from the University of East Anglia Medical School, sonographers from the University of Hertfordshire and radiographers from the Universities of Suffolk and Exeter. We provide practical mammography training for JPUH radiographers.

6. FRCR or Equivalent
7. Inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC and/or hold CCT in Radiology
