Public Dental Service NHS Borders requires a qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist to join our dental team. The successful applicant must support effective teamwork and deliver excellent patient care, embodying our core values.
You should be a patient-focused individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This position offers exciting opportunities to support the delivery of high-quality dental services, addressing the current unmet dental needs of the population across NHS Borders.
The post holder will work as a Dental Hygiene Therapist within the Public Dental Service, supporting clinicians.
This role covers clinics in Coldstream, Galashiels, and Hawick, depending on service needs.
The ideal candidate will hold a recognized Dental Hygiene Therapy qualification and be registered with the General Dental Council. Knowledge and experience in secondary care dental procedures are required. A full driving license is essential, as the role involves working across NHS Borders.
Knowledge of the R4 Clinical Plus patient management system and experience within the PDS are desirable. Job share options are considered.
The working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30.
