The team
The Synapse team are building Data Cloud's AI Platform – powering and enabling Creditsafe's next-generation of products and services. The platform will provide services and workflows to:
* Streamline time-consuming information gathering and analysis activities of knowledge workers.
* Expose richer ways for humans and AI agents to consume Creditsafe data.
* Answer complex queries about data.
* Provide tools, data assets and core services to build on.
The AI Platform's tiered architecture comprises:
Domain layer:
* Domain-specific and product-specific agents delivering value in focussed knowledge-domains.
* APIs delivering insights and data backed by AI agents and ML models.
Core layer:
* Lower-level single-task agents, data assets, tools and resources for internal and external customer AI agents to integrate with and build on top of.
Ops layer:
* An MLOps framework to consistently and safely roll out and monitor AI and ML services.
Model selection and evaluation layer:
* A framework for ongoing evaluation of in-use and alternative models against quality and reliability benchmarks to ensure deployed systems remain reliable, robust and cost effective over time.
About the role
As an Engineering Manager on Data Cloud's Synapse team, you will lead the innovation and delivery of intelligent, reliable, scalable and responsible AI solutions in the Data Cloud AI Platform.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Product, Data, business stakeholders and customers to identify valuable and appropriate AI solutions to customers' needs and real-world problem that align with organisational goals and ethical standards.
* Own and manage the Data Cloud AI Platform roadmap and delivery of Data Cloud AI Platform solutions.
* Oversee and guide the team delivering AI and ML solutions.
* Identify common patterns, workflows and customer use-cases to abstract into the AI Platform as general-purpose, core capabilities.
* Understand, identify and exploit the company's rich data assets for data-driven decision making, and as a direct resource for AI and ML solutions.
* Partner with subject matter experts across the business to build essential domain knowledge into the AI Platform.
* Promote responsible AI best practices, including transparency, privacy, explainability, fairness, and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act).
* Balance rapid prototyping and fast feedback loops of new experiments with the ongoing delivery of production-ready systems, ensuring that appropriate processes to protect Creditsafe from reputational, legal and financial risk are followed.
