As Asbestos Manager, you’ll be responsible for: To provide specific technical support and advice to the Council (Duty Holder) on asbestos. To manage asbestos such that the Duty Holder is complying with the Asbestos Regulations 2012 To ensure delivery of a programme of annual surveys, to be agreed with the Council. To organise and manage asbestos removal/remedial works by licensed third parties. Provision of same in relation to services to schools as appropriate. To ensure formal governance, reporting, escalation and control systems are embedded on the contract and implemented throughout the wider team. Providing a corporate focus for Asbestos Management and providing / arranging for the necessary training for Duty Holders responsible personnel. To join us, we’re looking for Thorough knowledge of Asbestos legislation and management of Asbestos Experience of managing contracts for asbestos removal work and can demonstrate a full knowledge of asbestos removal procedures through experience. Holder of asbestos training certificate P402, P405 or 406. Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality. Good organisational skills and able to meet tight deadlines.
