With a focus on expert neurorehabilitation, the company supports individuals in regaining lost skills and achieving personal goals.
The client operates assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals, providing expert care and support. Their neurological centre offers a safe and nurturing environment for individuals and families dealing with acquired brain injuries and various neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
* Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
* Assess and address communication impacts on daily life, providing appropriate interventions
* Collaborate with individuals and their social networks to overcome communication barriers
* Develop management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessary
* Provide training to staff and the social networks of service users
* Support eating, drinking and swallowing needs under supervision
* Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and complete reports
* Contribute to service and organisational development
Package and Benefits
* Annual salary up to £42,803 (FTE)

Qualifications
* A degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Dysphagia competencies
* Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI
* Ability to manage dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
* At least 18 months of qualified experience in relevant neurological settings
* Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working within a multidisciplinary team
