Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to support our current kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess good food knowledge, experience in a Fresh food kitchen, and a passion for food preparation using local ingredients and presentation. This role involves supporting kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Work with kitchen team, listening to guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow, NO HUGE EGOS, this is a calm working environment
* Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
* Work towards safe food safety practices, maintaining compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
* Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
* Work with current kitchen team, fostering a positive team environment
* Innovate new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a hospitality or restaurant setting
* Good working knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to motivate team and promote teamwork
* A keen interest to Learn, develop, and grow.
* Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is preferred, other food backgrounds considered, gelling with the team is key here.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
