Hours: Full time 36 hours per week. 4 days per week (28.8 hours) may be considered.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding Primary Care Pharmacotherapy Team within the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP). The successful candidate will be employed to work within Aberdeen City and specific practice locations may be subject to change.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of the pharmacotherapy service outlined in the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland.
* Conduct medication compliance reviews.
* Respond to pharmaceutical queries, including shortages.
* Perform medicines reconciliation and provide medication management advice to patients and carers.
* Ensure safe and effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.
* Maintain formulary adherence and review prescribing data.
Qualifications
* Current registration with the GPhC (essential).
* Background in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy preferred.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
* Full driving licence and use of a car (essential). Some locations may be within the Aberdeen City Low Emission Zone.
Benefits
As of 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so pay will not be affected.
