Job Purpose To assist in the planning and delivery of vocational training (QCF/RQF) in Praxis Care. Assessing learners performance against the required standards providing advice and guidance to lead to the awarding of the qualification. Key Accountabilities To carry out qualification (QCF/RQF) assessments, including direct observations of learner practice in the work setting and reviewing their learning portfolio To work with other Internal & external Assessors & Verifiers to ensure consistency of assessment To ensure all records are completed & maintained to organisational standards, including records of assessment To work with the QCF/RQF Coordinator in maintaining systems for registration of learners To maintain an accurate data base of QCF/RQF learners and collate and track learner progress To work with the QCF/RQF Coordinator in reviewing and updating Centre policies and procedures in relation to vocational training To carry out internal quality assurance verification, as appropriate To provide induction to the QCF/RQF programmes and facilitate workshops and learning events to support the underpinning knowledge for new learners, including facilitation of study days To sit on the Vocational Qualification Committee and carry out actions as agreed To manage own workload and diary to deliver excellent training and assessment to your learners To conduct all activities in a manner which is safe to yourself and others ensuring compliance to the organisations Health and Safety Policy To undertake other occasional duties which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post To undertake other training (if applicable), at the discretion of the Head of Learning and Development About The Role Requirements of the Role: You will be required to participate in the company appraisal and staff review process To adhere to and model the company values, behaviours and competencies at all times To carry out all duties of the post in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations and policies To carry out additional duties of the role and all other required duties as and when necessary To work the necessary hours to fit the needs of the service The above mentioned duties are note exhaustive and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties as and when necessary. Experience & Qualifications: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care & CYP settings TAQA Level 3 (Assessor) Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. OR A1 Assess Candidate Performance Using a Range of Methods & A2 Assessing OR D32 Assess Candidate Performance and D33 Assess Candidates Using Differing Sources of Evidence 2 years experience working in a Team Leader/Management level role in the field of Health & Social Care Knowledge of QCF/RQF systems and initiatives Supervision of staff and/or students. Knowledge of planning and evaluation processes Skills & Competencies: Full Drivers licence and access to a form of transport on appointment.
