What is the role
Supporting the Chef Manager and deputising in their absence to maintain our high standard including all areas of H&S and Food Safety in a small team to provide breakfast, main meals, salads, jackets, hot and cold sandwiches in a subsidised workplace site within a thriving fashion head office, initially catering for the 200+ Head Office team.
What you will do
* Support management of a small team to provide weekday fresh breakfast, lunch, coffee and snack service
* Support the sourcing and costing of a varied, high-quality menu that engages and motivates your customers
* Participate in creating a changing food offer, that provides a balanced and inclusive menu that is thoughtfully costed to cover the cost of ingredients and disposables with no profit targets, providing high quality food for our teams to be seen as a real benefit.
* Responsible for ensuring all compliance with food safety regulations, allergen control, Health & Safety, quality control and COSHH
* Manage, motivate and develop the kitchen team whilst keep cost control within agreed budgets
* Order and control stock, liaising with suppliers and deliveries to maintain the kitchen and vending machine in a clean and organised fashion to comply with due diligence & minimise wastage.
* Support and implement as requested, all training deemed needed for the team.

* Excellent customer service, always ensuring discretion and politeness, with a professional manor
* Up to date knowledge of food and service trends that engages and delights your customers
* Understanding of relevant legislation & compliance and ability to always maintain it
* Ability to task change and adapt in a fast-paced environment
