As a Payroll Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience working across a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting end-to-end payroll services, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly and accurately. Key Responsibilities:
Processing end to end payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assisting with payroll queries and statutory deductions, including PAYE and pensions
Building strong client relationships and providing excellent service
Working with the wider team to help improve processes and efficiencies
What the client is looking for:
Some experience in payroll processing, ideally within an accountancy practice or bureau
Familiarity with payroll software such as Sage Payroll or Xero Payroll
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the firm
