Job Description
We are seeking Graduate Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Salford. This role is ideal for graduates eager to gain valuable school experience and take their first step towards a career in teaching.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver work set by the class teacher accurately and effectively
* Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies
* Support students’ learning across a variety of subjects
* Maintain a calm, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
Progression into Teaching
This position provides:
* Essential experience to strengthen teacher training applications
* Opportunities to progress into long-term subject-specific roles
* Support in developing classroom and behaviour management skills
* A clear pathway into recognised teacher training programmes
Requirements
* A degree, or working towards one
* Confidence in engaging and supporting young people
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
