Job Responsibilities
1. You will be responsible for driving the vehicle and crew to the designated address, and supporting the Crew with removals duties, including packing, loading and unloading the vehicle.
2. You will need to be physically fit to pack, carry, load/unload the vehicle, and dismantle/reassemble furniture.
3. You must be willing to work unsocial hours, including some nights away. A valid passport is required for moves involving collection/delivery in mainland Europe.
4. Maintain a polite and professional demeanor at all times in this customer-facing role, with strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
5. Be reliable, flexible, and punctual, as move day schedules are vital and can be stressful for the customer.
6. Complete all removals paperwork accurately and submit it promptly.
7. Maintain regular communication with the Office.
8. Wear the company uniform at all times and PPE when collecting or delivering to customers and other sites.
9. You will need your own transport, as you will be departing from and returning to the local depot.
Driving Requirements
1. Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects to the Office.
2. Ensure all loads are safely secured, preventing waste or debris from falling.
3. Load and unload the vehicle following safe working practices and complete risk assessments as required.
4. Fuel the vehicle and keep it clean externally and internally to standard.
5. Keep your vehicle and trailer in a safe, serviceable, and clean condition.
6. Download the Tachograph card weekly.
7. Report accidents and incidents immediately to the Transport Manager.
8. Comply with all company, UK, and European safety and driving regulations.
9. Provide proof of DCPC.
