As the Logistics Process Specialist (known internally as a Group Standards Specialist) you will work within our Supply chain team identifying opportunities and leading the delivery of projects that optimise the flow and delivery of goods throughout our banners from origin to shelf, to our required standards. You will review and re-engineer processes and provide reporting to drive sustainable improvements to how we plan and deliver both savings and service improvements within supply chain and logistics. Building effective relationships and plans with key stakeholders to successfully deliver these changes.
What's the job
1. To deliver and identify improvements & savings to end to end supply chain & logistics projects, including packaging optimisation, transit media review, and container utilisation.
2. Own and simplify the supply chain content within the vendor manual to ensure it is easy to understand, fit for purpose
3. Support International shipping & Customs teams with planning, reporting, and service/cost improvement initiatives.
4. Develop collaborative partner relationships with both internal and external parties, including 3PL’s, group supply chain, packaging, legal, vendor performance, COE, and banner (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama etc..) supply chain teams.
5. Provide SME support to additional projects and other functional areas, sharing expertise
What you'll bring
6. Experience of critical data analysis, reporting, and Project Management
7. Understanding of E2E Supply Chain, Domestic Logistics and International Logistics, and 3PL operations.
8. Experience of retail logistics operations and sales & demand forecasting.
9. Commercial knowledge including costs, margin, budgets, and budget tracking.
