Hays Accountancy & Finance are supporting an international business who are looking for a fluent Dutch-speaking finance professional who has experience of processing purchase & sales ledger invoices to join their European AP/AR Finance team.
This role can be based in Suffolk or 100% remote, as Dutch speaking is an essential requirement for this role.
Your new role
As a Dutch-speaking Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper, you will join their European AP/AR Finance team and take sole responsibility for their business operations in the Netherlands, hence the requirement to be fluent Dutch speaking, as you will manage the purchase & sales ledger transactional finance for their Dutch and German customers with direct-line reporting to their Global Finance Manager who is based in the UK.
Your typical duties will involve end-to-end processing of purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, preparing international payment runs through to dealing with supplier queries as well as internal enquiries. You will also manage Sales Ledger / AR, which involves allocating customer receipts, setting up new customers,pleting credit checks, monitoring overdue balances and assisting with credit collections. This role is perfect for someone who is meticulous in processing, highly organised, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fluent Dutch speaker, which is the first essential skill set required, along with experience of processing purchase and sales ledger invoicing. As an experienced Accounts Assistant, we expect you to be confident with systems and any experience of Navison or NetSuite would be an advantage but not essential. However, Dutch speaking is an essential requirement.
