We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join a brand new SEN school in Slough. This school provides education and care for 30 young people between the ages of 11 to 16 years, with SEMH and ASC needs. Pupil numbers will increase to 70 over time. The school boasts specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment, treatment, and management of a wide range of language and communication difficulties.
* Develop SLT care plans based on best practice via a range of direct and/or indirect models of delivery within an educational setting, evaluating the impact on the individual, considering the barriers to activity and participation within the educational setting.
* Train education staff to incorporate specialist strategies and intervention approaches into their practice and participate in monitoring the effectiveness of that training.
* Communicate complex condition-related information from assessment to clients, carers, families, and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
* HCPC registration.
* Experience working with children or adults with communication needs.
* Car driver ideally.
