The role
The Senior Business Development Manager is a key growth position, working closely with the BU Managing Director and senior management team. The primary purpose is to plan, lead, and execute effective capture management and qualification of opportunities to achieve the Sector’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include:
* Translating customer and competitive intelligence into win strategies and value propositions.
* Developing partnering strategies and managing partner assessments and integrations.
* Collaborating with commercial and finance teams on arrangements and delivery models.
* Managing qualification of opportunities through the capture phase.
* Leading and converting growth opportunities, including bidding and negotiation phases.
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience
* Understanding of the full capture lifecycle.
* Experience managing high-value pursuits, preferably in Defence.
* Ability to develop compelling value propositions.
* Proven collaboration with partners.
* Knowledge of the Defence landscape.
Qualifications
* Degree level education or equivalent experience, preferably in business or marketing.
Security Clearance
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
