Role description
Following recent establishment in Gloucester, we currently have an opportunity for a Controller to join our growing team. You will provide assistance to our Financial Project Assistant, including professional administrative support. This role focuses on tracking project costs, handling purchase orders, cheque requests, invoice and payment processing, supplier set-up, and researching and ordering sub-contractors. This position is offered on a 24-hour working week, with work pattern negotiable.
Role accountabilities
* Assisting with project management activities and status reports.
* Supporting management of financial performance, including tracking costs, purchase orders, and cheque requests.
* Liaising with the Finance team.
* Conducting data analysis.
* Coding and processing invoices, monitoring through to payment.
* Compiling reports and maintaining tracking information.
* Answering phone and email queries professionally.
* Liaising with suppliers and contractors.
* Supporting the consultant team with equipment hire.
* Maintenance of databases.
* Assisting in cash flow activities, including measures, applications for payment, and invoices.
* Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your line manager.
Qualifications & Experience
* Well organized with good administration skills.
* Demonstrable experience in administration, preferably within purchase ledger or associated invoice/financial control.
* Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Strong digital literacy.
* Commitment to customer service.
* Professional manner on the phone and in interactions with clients and staff.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and prioritize work.
* Excellent numerical skills.
* Growth mindset and willingness to learn.
* Full UK driving licence.
